Jim Dishman is from Monticello, Kentucky, near beautiful Lake Cumberland. Late in his teens he was influenced by the singer songwriter movement of the 70’s which led him on a musical journey that started with high profile shows in Louisville and led him to California playing venues in Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Orange County. Eventually he landed in Nashville to further pursue songwriting. There he played the Blue Bird Café, as well as other premier songwriter venues before moving back to California. He returned to Louisville in 1990, and has been a staple of laid-back riverside venues and can be found delivering his music most anywhere relaxing and comfortable good times are found.
