Levee at the River House, located at 3015 River Road, is partnering with the Louisville Film Society to host “Lights, Camera, Levee!” – a series of outdoor film screenings that will be free and open to the public. The screenings will take place on the expansive lawn and patio at Levee overlooking the river, and seating is limited so guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. The films will start at dark, around 8:30pm each night, and food and drink specials will be offered during the screenings.
The classic 1978 horror movie Halloween (rated R) will be featured on Sunday, October 29th. Fifteen years after being sentenced for the murder of his sister on Halloween night, Michael Myers escapes from a mental institution to return to his hometown of Haddonfield, IL to look for his next victims. The license for an outdoor public screening of this film has not been available in 10 years, so this is a special opportunity to watch one of the scariest movies of all time under the stars.
