Levee at the River House, located at 3015 River Road, is partnering with the Louisville Film Society to host “Lights, Camera, Levee!” – a series of outdoor film screenings that will be free and open to the public. The screenings will take place on the expansive lawn and patio at Levee overlooking the river, and seating is limited so guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. The films will start at dark, around 8:30pm each night, and food and drink specials will be offered during the screenings.
On Friday, October 13th, the 1980 slasher film Friday the 13th (rated R) will be shown. The first film in the Friday the 13th franchise introduces audiences to Jason Voorhees, who stalks and murders a group of camp counselors who are trying to reopen a summer camp, which years before was the site of a child’s drowning.
