DANCING "STARS" RAISE DOLLARS FOR THE HUNGRY

Louisville, KY – The Feed My Neighbor program of the Sandefur Dining Room will host the 4th annual
Let’s Dance Louisville charity event at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, Saturday, June 17, 6:00 p.m.
Let’s Dance Louisville, presented by Delta Dental of Kentucky’s Making Smiles Happen Foundation, is a
Dancing with the Stars styled event and includes twelve Louisville dancing “stars” who will compete for
the Champion’s Award, bragging rights and a mirror ball trophy. The dancers include seven women:
Taunya Eshenbaugh, Abby Kamen, Annette Manias, Shahara Ross, Jacqueline Smith, Kelsey Starks, Karen
Williams and five men: Ronel Brown, Kendrick Haskins, Wil Heuser, David Jennings, M.D. and Andre
Wilson. These twelve dancers represent a cross-section of Louisville business owners, community
leaders, volunteers and on-air talent.

Each dancing star will train with professional dance instructors from Shall We Dance? Ballroom and
Studio and Derby City Ballroom, two of Louisville’s most popular and respected dance studios. Each
dancer will receive both a technical score and a people’s choice score. Fans are encouraged to cast votes
to support their favorite dancer. One vote is $1.00 and can be made on the Let’s Dance Louisville
website, www.letsdancelouisville.org.

Let’s Dance Louisville has sold out each time and the same is expected this year. “Each day over 160
men, women and many times, children, are served a hot, nutritious meal at the Sandefur Dining Room.
Let’s Dance Louisville presented by Delta Dental of Kentucky’s Making Smiles Happen Foundation is a
fun way to say to the community, ‘We are here. We need your help. Come visit us.’ I can’t think of a
better way to support Louisville’s hungry and homeless. I’m so proud of how Louisville has come
together to support Let’s Dance Louisville,” stated Maggie Cyphers, Let’s Dance Louisville Event Chair.
Proceeds from Let’s Dance Louisville will benefit the Sandefur Dining Room.

Returning judges include Leslie Smart, Jonathan Burton and Louisville Ballet Artistic & Executive
Director, Robert Curran.

Reservations for Let’s Dance Louisville are $125 per person. Cocktail attire is preferred. Seating is

About the Sandefur Dining Room:

The Sandefur Dining Room is a program of the Cathedral of the Assumption that began responding to
the needs of the hungry population in downtown Louisville during the Great Depression. Today, the
program provides nourishing meals and gentle compassion 365 days a year to an average of 45,000
hungry and homeless individuals. The Sandefur Dining Room operates with the support of hundreds of
volunteers, many of whom come from downtown businesses, who donate their time, talent, and
treasure to serving those who are hungry.
