Due to the overwhelming success of its cookie sale in 2015, the Kentucky chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier (LDEIKY) is hosting a second holiday bake sale at Copper & Kings, 1121 E. Washington St., Saturday, Dec. 3. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., shoppers can purchase some of their favorite holiday goodies prepared by more than 60 local chefs and LDEIKY members. Cookies, pies, scones, bread, cakes, candy and other assorted gifts will start at $6. All proceeds will benefit the LDEIKY scholarship fund, which helps culinary students and professionals pursuing LDEI membership, and Green Table, an initiative connecting urban and rural farms to schools and restaurants. Last year, LDEIKY funded three culinary scholarships and were sold out of cookies by 11 a.m. Make a day of the festivities with a distillery tour at Copper & Kings, brunch at Butchertown Grocery and shopping at Butchertown Market.
