Science is a pursuit — a perpetual quest for knowledge not just to be had, but to be used. Science allows us to better understand our world and as such, our capacity for impact on it. In essence, it’s the exploration and search for answers of our own humanity.
On Monday, March 12th, Kentucky to the World will welcome Nobel Laureate, Phillip A. Sharp to the stage to discuss his own pursuits in science, from his past accomplishments to his vision for the future of biotechnology.
Sharp is relentlessly dedicated to changing the way we do science and challenging the way we think about it. He pushes us to ask the questions of what’s next and what more we can do. We invite you to join us for this conversation with Sharp as we discuss how he went from the foothills of Kentucky to the pinnacle of the scientific community, and is now integrating biology with information technology, physics, and engineering in pursuit of answers.
Sharp will discuss his own pursuits in science, from his past accomplishments to his vision for the future of biotechnology with Jenni Laidman, a freelance writer specializing in science and medicine.
