Known for his energetic live performances, Jake Shimabukuro is an avid student of the musical legacy of ukulele virtuosos as well as some of rock and roll’s greatest guitar players.
Jake rose to fame and built his career on his popular covers including Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Schubert’s “Ave Maria” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.
Jake is now earning comparisons to musical innovators like Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis for his original compositions.
As seen on PBS, Jake Shimabukuro: Life on Four Strings is a documentary that follows Jake on tour and reveals the cultural and personal influences that have shaped the man and the musician.
In February, 2016, Jake released the two CD set, Live in Japan, recorded during his sold-out world tour.
