Kap Slap, otherwise known as Jared Lucas is an American musician, producer and songwriter who has rose to prominence with a talent in creating electronic/top 40 bootlegs.

Over the last year Kap Slap otherwise known as Jared Lucas has been working on his production skills whilst creating buzz across the blogosphere with his abilities to create innovative electro that could easily sit within the top 40. He is also making waves on the live circuits, performing across the States with his danceable electro mixes and playing on line ups alongside heavy weights such as Diplo and Eric Prydz.

His early involvement with music was not a hobby as it is for most children but more an outlet as he had to cope with his mother passing away from breast cancer. He self taught himself the guitar, bass, and drums and began experimenting with different sounds and techniques during his school days.

He found his calling when he began to understand and learn several music production programmes. He soon took to the DJing circuit and started to cut his teeth at local bars and venues. Due to early support and positive reaction to his sets, he set off on a nationwide tour under the pseudonym Kap Slap. He later released a number of mix tapes including music that he had experimented with whilst playing live, top 40 bootlegs and original mixes.
