Is your child so excited about summer camp that he or she wants to go early? The JCC has you covered with Spring Camp!
This spring, the JCC Spring Camp will explore the five senses with art projects, crafts, sports, games, science projects and, of course, fun! Campers will also swim every day in the JCC’s heated indoor pool.
On Monday, campers will explore their senses of Taste and Smell.Tuesday, the theme is Touch, with campers taking a trip to the American Printing House for the Blind. Wednesday, campers will learn about the sense of Sight. Thursday, the sense of Hearing will be explored.
“I’m really excited about the trip to the American Printing House for the Blind,” said Betsy Schwartz, Camp director. “The kids will learn all about braille printing, they’ll get a chance to see and touch braille books and learn how people who are visually impaired can read. It’s a wonderful learning experience for them, and I can’t wait to see it myself!”
Camp runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6-9 (closed April 10 for Passover), with extended hours available. Extended day options include the Get Up Gang from 7:30 to 9 a.m., and Stay and Play 3-6 p.m. (There is no Stay and Play on April 9).
