Kentucky Science Center will premiere ‘hypotheSIPS,’ the newest evening event in its successful Adult Series, which will combine science, socializing, and spirits, for ages 21 and up. hypotheSIPS joins the monthly ‘Scientific Proofs’ series, where expert presenters open dialogue on topics ranging from beer to killer robots, and the now annual signature events exBEERiment, megaBITEs, and GAMEology; furthering Kentucky Science Center’s mission to encourage people of all ages to do science in engaging, educational, and entertaining ways to inspire a lifetime of learning.
hypotheSIPS will focus on wine and spirits, including Buffalo Trace bourbon, Wheatley vodka, Hendricks gin, Flor de Cana 7 year rum, Old 502 Winery and Wight-Meyer wines, and more. Featured drinks will be paired with experts whose presentations illuminate an aspect of the science behind each sip. Attendees will compare regional grapes, unpack flavor profiles, and explore the bourbon map, all while enjoying the ambiance and activities of the Kentucky Science Center and access to food truck fare. In addition to the brands listed above, Liquor Barn, Uber, Pollo Louisville, and DO502 have joined as partners. Presenters include representatives from DDW the Color House, Heather O’Callaghan and Matt Baugher from Republic Distributing, Susan Reigler Executive Bourbon Stewart, and Colin Blake Headmaster of Liquorial Studies at Moonshine University.
