Girls Rock Louisville (GRL) will celebrate the release of its second camper band compilation, “Girls Rock Louisville 2017” with an in-store party at Guestroom Records. They'll have snacks and cake and will be playing the new nine-track CD, which will be available for $8 (with a digital download included). The volunteer-based camp teaches girls and gender non-conforming youth how to rock out while building self-esteem through music education. During camp week, GRL provides campers with a chance to unleash their inner rock stars and to learn songwriting, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and vocals. The campers form bands, write their own songs, and perform a concert at the end of the week.
