Bob Ullrich, former UofL professor of 38 years, and his wife Vicky Ullrich, president of the Germanic Heritage Auxiliary of German-American Club are both fourth generation German Americans. With a foreward by Mayor Greg Fischer (a fifth generation German descendant), the Ullriches have given us a fascinating look at the past 200 years of German immigrants in Louisville and the vital role they played in making this community what it is today.
