Sharpen your taste buds and get ready to taste the best Fried Chicken in Town! The Fried Chicken Throwdown is a culinary competition to benefit Slow Food Bluegrass. A cash prize will be available to the winner in each of three categories, Best Fried Chicken ($500), Best Vegetarian Side ($250), and Best Dessert ($250). The judging will happen by “people’s choice.” The currency of The Bluegrass Fried Chicken Throwdown will be tickets, and $1 will equal 1 ticket. Tastes will cost 2-3 tickets. Some of the competing local restaurants include 610 Magnolia, Joella's Hot Chicken, Marksbury Farm Market, Over the 9 and Royals Hot Chicken.
