The Frazier History Museum presents Hip History Night at the Museum celebrating Homeboys and Homegirls from the Bluegrass State!

Headlined by Nashville singer-songwriter and hometown girl Heather Bond

Step into an evening of live music, arts, crafts, and culture featuring sights, sounds, and flavors from the Bluegrass State.

Meet the beer nerds behind Goodwood Brewing and learn tricks of the trade while sampling some of their favorite varieties as you kick back in the saloon of the Spirits of the Bluegrass exhibit.

Get your grub on with authentic tastes of Kentucky in the Great Hall as the beautiful music of Louisville's own piano-pop singer, Heather Bond, fills the air as she celebrates her newest album, So Long, full of superbly written lyrics and intoxicating melodies.

Peek behind the stage into our highly acclaimed new exhibition and celebrate the immersive new multimedia installation by Louisville artists Julius Friedman, Donna Lawrence, and Richard Van Kleeck in the exhibit, Julius Friedman: Fifty Year Retrospective. Armed with scissors and glue, guests will collaborate with Friedman in the creation of a large-scale art project, What Color is This, to be displayed in the museum as part of the Fifty Year Retrospective.

Don’t miss the ultimate Kentucky Homeboy, George Gatewood of Longwood Antique Woods, as he takes center stage to unleash the coolest spoken-meets-rap performance about Kentucky that you'll likely ever see. Our favorite funny girl, Style Blueprint's Heidi Potter, will tap into your Kentucky pride as she tells us all about Kentucky style. And take care of that sweet tooth with a Cellar Door Chocolate demonstration and goody!

Make your way to the second floor and put your hands on history to create your own Kentucky postcard with hand drawn images of Louisville’s Greatest, Muhammad Ali, or create your own postcard with etchings and ink, and we will mail it for you!

The third floor will come alive with costumed performances by Frazier Teaching Artists as they go back in time to entertain guests in the Prohibition and Kentucky and Lewis and Clark Experience exhibitions.

Delight your senses on the rooftop with a breeze from the Ohio River and the sweet taste of Gallrein Farm’s fresh made kettle corn, as you experience one of the most spectacular rooftop views in Louisville. Cool off with The Louisville Water Company's Pure Tap and fruit and herb infused water at Quench, The Water Bar Experience.

All ages are invited to take in the sights, sounds, and flavors of Kentucky.

With the Frazier’s location at 9th and Main Street and a dedicated mission to enrich our community, we are pleased to partner with Neighborhood House, breaking the cycle of poverty for children and families in the Portland community of Louisville, KY.

Bring in a can of tuna (equaling 12 ounces or more) as a donation to the Neighborhood House food bank, and receive $5 off your admission - good for adults, members, and children ages 5-17. Children under 5 are free. If you purchase a ticket at the discounted price and are unable to bring your cans when the day comes, it's not a problem - that will just be $5 at the door.
