Are you a fan? Then join us for the Louisville Free Public Library’s first-ever Random Fandom event at the Southwest Regional Library on Saturday, March 21, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. From Star Wars to Harry Potter, Dr. Who to superheroes, there will be demonstrations and activities for fans of all kinds.
This day-long convention for teens will include presentations on a wide range of fan topics—Anime, video games, TV/movies, and (of course) books—as well as games and activities. There will be workshops on writing fan fiction and how to make chainmail jewelry, as well as a cosplay contest and lots of prizes.
The convention is FREE and open to teens, grades 6 - 12. For more information, or to register, visit LFPL.org/Teen. Know you are coming? Let us know on our Facebook event page.
Teens can also join the conversation on social media and follow @louisvillefreepubliclibrary on Instagram! Photos tagged with #RandomFandom will be streamed at the event in real time on our photo wall and will be entered into a special prize drawing!
