Petrino Family Foundation is the presenting sponsor for the “Head in the Game” Mindfulness Training. This training will be led by Dr. Amy Saltzman, M.D. Dr. Saltzman is a holistic physician, mindfulness teacher, scientist, wife, mother, devoted student of transformation, long-time athlete and occasional poet.

Attendees will gain an introduction into the practice of mindfulness and gain tools they can utilize to incorporate this practice within their own environments.

Family Scholar House is changing lives, families and communities through education. Our mission is to end the cycle of poverty and transform our community by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve life-long self-sufficiency. Currently, 215 families with 319 children live on four Family Scholar House’s residential campuses. All of these families are low-income and have experienced homelessness or unstable housing. FSH parent scholars are full-time college students, pursuing post-secondary education, while being full time parents.
