Join YPAL and a group of Greater Louisville’s greatest diversity, equity, and inclusion thought leaders on Friday, July 26, to discuss these key concepts and how they intersect. This workshop is designed for young professionals looking to advance their understanding of DE&I and identify where it shows up in their lives, both inside and outside of the workplace.
Our presenters will address the following questions:
What is implicit bias?
How does implicit bias show up in the workplace?
What is the difference between equity and equality?
What's going on in the for-profit and non-profit sectors to address inequities in our community?
Program:
8:00-8:30 - Check-in and breakfast
8:30-10:00 - Mapping of the issues – Aja Barber, Administrator, Center for Health Equity
10:00-10:15 - Break
10:15-11:30 - Implicit Bias 101 - Marian Vasser, Diversity and Engagement Practitioner
11:30-11:45 - Snack break
11:45-12:30 - Round Table Breakout session with diversity, equity and inclusion leaders
12:30 - End time
