Do you need a break from the stress of it all? It's time to get lost in the music. Come join us on Saturday, September 17th for the Eagle Classic (Marching Band Competition) hosted by the Eastern Marching Eagles located in Middletown at 12400 Old Shelbyville Road. Gates open at 11:00AM and the first band takes the field at 12:45PM. There will be 14 Kentucky marching bands strutting their stuff on the field and competing for the top prize. The Eagle Classic is a huge fundraiser for the EHS band that has helped send and fund their talent to the Macy's Day Parade and Carnegie Hall.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children and it will promise a musical delicacy for your ears delivered by local and homegrown Kentucky marching musicians. The talent contained in our city and neighboring counties is a sight to behold and a steal for only $10. There will be food hot off the grill as well as other concessions available for purchase; so you won't have to miss a single performance. The Eastern Eagles will perform in exhibition at 9:45PM and you won't want to miss it.
