The Culture Club is proud to extend an invitation for Part 1 of our 3-part Japanese Cooking & Culture series! Join us (Sunshine and Sam) as we facilitate exploration through cooking, culture, and community. Together, we'll learn to: master the basic principles of Washoku (Japanese cuisine), make 4 kinds of Tsukemono (pickled vegetables), make 1 Sunomono (vinegared salad), work with locally farmed vegetables, and make pickles at home without a recipe. Also included: you get to take home pickles you've made, we will include our pickles in a small, shared meal together, and a list of sources for ingredients. All classes will be held in the kitchen at Royals Hot Chicken in NULU, and will be hosted by Chef Sunshine Flagg & Sam Troutman. The cost per person is $40, and we only have 20 spots available. This class will last 1.5 hours. RSVP via Facebook, or email thecultureclub.letseat@gmail.com to reserve your spot by June 8th. We hope to see you there!
