Local Chef’s Remember Lost Friend
Culinary Celebration of Gus Campisano’s life
Local Chefs and industry purveyors are coming together to host a “Culinary Celebration of Gus Campisano’s Life” this Sunday, May 15th from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Louisville Boat Club. Proceeds of this event will benefit Gus’s beneficiaries, including his great-granddaughter, Francesca Maria whom Gus supported until his death.
Participating in this fantastic sampling event are local restaurants and chefs such as: John Viranese (River House Restaurant & Raw Bar), Nancy Tarrant (Cheddar Box), Chip Lawrence (LeMoo), Josh Hillyard (Big Spring Country Club), Agostino Bellvei (Vincenzo’s), Sergey Katz (FlavaVille), Arnold Baker (Gary’s on Spring), Troy Schuster (Hurstbourne Country Club), Michael Williams (University Club), Gregoire Guiot (Louisville Boat Club) and Mirabelle’s Catering.
The event will feature these local favorites in a roaming food station format. Tickets to the event will be purchased at the door for $20 and will benefit Gus’s beneficiaries. Festivities will include a raffle for items and services donated by local restaurants and purveyors such as: Bistro 301, Lilly’s Bistro, Cast Iron (Jeffersonville), Anoosh Bistro, Louisville Marriott Downtown, Piazza Produce, and a catered dinner provided by Mirabelle’s Catering. Advanced ticket purchases are unfortunately unavailable for this event.
The giving nature of this event embodies what Gus’s life was about, and enables the culinary talents of our city to give back to Gus one last time.
