8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen, Louisville’s first rooftop bar and restaurant, will team up with Copper & Kings, the city’s first brandy distillery, to collaborate on a one-night-only dinner. Chef Jacob Coronado and Beverage Director Clay Livingston will present a special three-course meal paired with Copper & Kings Brandy cocktails. Joining them to host the event will be Copper & Kings brand ambassador Chris Wilkins.
In honor of Brandy Alexander Day, Livingston will offer up a memorable version of the classic 1920’s cocktail. The evening will begin with an original Aperitif, a Pendennis Club cocktail with exclusive Stray Cat Gin and Apricot liqueur.
Dinner will begin with a Sheltowee Farms Mushroom Tortellini, Copper and Kings Brandy Tomato Cream Sauce, Cured Egg Yolk, Parmesan Bubbles. This first course will be paired with a Brandy Martini,Copper and Kings Immature Brandy, Cruz Conde Vermouth, Orange Bitters..
The second act features Duroc Pork Tenderloin with Acorn Squash Puree, Bulgur Wheat, Drunken Cherries and Pork Jus, paired with a Butchertown Old Fashioned, Copper & Kings Butchertown Brandy, Orange Bitters, Black Walnut Bitters.
Punctuating the memorable meal, Pastry Chef Bailey Atkinson serves up a Copper & Kings Carrot Cakewith Prune Puree, Walnut milk, and Carrot Raisins, paired Brandy Alexander, Copper & Kings American Craft Brandy, Crème de Cacao, Cream.
Following the meal, 1 ounce of lavender absinthe digestif, louched, will be served to end the evening on a high note high above the Louisville skyline.
