Join us for this free plenary discussion during CNU 27 in Louisville, Sponsored by the Congress for the New Urbanism. CNU 27 is expected to attract 1500 architects, urban designers, and planners to Louisville June 12-15
This special two-part event, moderated by Smart Growth America’s CEO Calvin Gladney, challenges participants to reflect and act on our nation’s and the world’s most pressing challenges: the persistence of systematic inequalities in our cities and towns, and the coming climate change that is reinforcing and aggravating these inequalities. Gladney will curate a conversation between Detroit Director of Planning Maurice Cox and housing developer Jair Lynch about how to create more equitable neighborhoods and cities. Noted urbanist and author Doug Kelbaugh will highlight points from his recent book The Urban Fix: Resilient Cities in the War Against Climate Change, Heat Islands, and Overpopulation.
