The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience®, located on Louisville’s historic “Whiskey Row,” is celebrating the arrival of spring by hosting a Bourbon, BBQ & Bottle Signings event in conjunction with the First Friday Hop on Fri., April 3. The festivities will take place in an open-house format from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and include free tours of the artisanal distillery and visitor’s center, in addition to educational Bourbon tastings for guests of legal drinking age. Evan Williams Bourbon Experience Artisanal Distiller Charlie Downs and Heaven Hill Master Distiller Denny Potter will be available for bottle signings and photo opportunities with Hop guests. Michael Veach, author of Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, will also be on hand signing copies of his book. Complimentary BBQ-themed appetizers will be provided by Jarfi’s Catering, in addition to a cash bar inside the basement Prohibition-era Speakeasy room, accessed only through a faux safe door in the wall. Each guest in attendance will also have an opportunity to win an assortment of door prizes, including various Bourbon-themed items, Evan Williams apparel and gift certificates to local restaurants, hotels and attractions. 

The First Friday Hop is open to the public and held on the first Friday of each month, rain or shine. ZeroBus rides are free and run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. In addition to visiting the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, participants can also stop at various art galleries, restaurants and shops on Main and Market streets, as well as the Fourth Street corridor.
