Everyone knows that the age of a barrel greatly affects the taste, but what many don’t understand is the dramatic effect that location within the warehouse has on that barrel. Now see for yourself as you get to explore and sample single barrels from different floors and locations within one of Heaven Hill’s finest open-rick warehouses. Heaven Hill distillers and experts Craig Beam, Denny Potter, Charlie Downs and Bernie Lubbers will be stationed throughout the rickhouse to offer samples and discuss aging factors. In the end, you will be able to select and take home your own personal single barrel bottle from the location you like best. Plus, learn how the warehousemen roll and “clock” the barrels and try your hand at rolling the barrels into the ricks—bung up, of course! A fine Kentucky-inspired lunch will also be provided.
