Join us for a two-day book fair on Friday, September 14, 2018 (5pm to 8pm) and Saturday, September 15, 2018 (9am to 4pm) at the YMCA Safe Place, 2400 Crittenden Drive.
This special event for book and coffee lovers celebrates the launch of The Book Works, a new social enterprise benefiting homeless and disconnected youth.
Thousands of new and gently used donated books in all genre and other media (CDs DVDs, albums, and games) will be for sale. Author-signed books, book-themed baskets, and other gifts for book lovers will be available for purchase. The Coalition for the Homeless, YMCA Safe Place, and the Louisville Free Public Library will offer family-friendly art, reading, and writing activities.
On Friday, join them for a special preview sale, featuring coffee and tea from McQuixote Books & Coffee, Wild Dog Rose Tea and Heine Bros. Guests can enjoy a specialty auction during the Friday preview as well. On Saturday, enjoy all-day fun with family activities and food trucks as you enjoy all the book sale has to offer.
Proceeds from this event benefit community-based organizations serving homeless young people. Learn more about The Book Works at www.TheBookWorks.org.
Tickets for the Friday evening preview sale are $10 (tickets available on Louisville Tickets.com). Saturday is free and open to the public. For more info on the Friday preview sale, click here.
