Metro-Atlanta author Andrew Snorton, who is coming off appearances at the Literary Festival of Charlotte, the African-American Authors’ Festival in Nashville, the Atlanta African-American Book Festival, Baltimore, and a return to the Authors’ Alley at the Mississippi Book Festival, is making his first visit to Louisville in support of his books in support of his books (2). His current release, 9 stories of faith: volume 1, and his previous release, Deeper than your deepest sleep: thoughts on love with Joseph Snorton, are available for on-site purchase at Fante’s Coffee (2501 Grinstead Dr in Louisville), the location of his book signing (August 25, 2018 from 12-2pm). The newest release looks at themes on faith and spirituality through the lenses of 9 different interviews of people from different backgrounds (i.e. Christianity, Hindu, and Islam). Through their testimonies, they share what their biggest daily challenge is, as well as the means they use to not only manage them, but to live productive and meaningful lives. “One of the main points is for all to understand we are all dealing with something”, Snorton notes. “Likewise, regardless of your faith ties and perspectives, there are universalities across different faiths. There are some commonalities, so even if you don’t fully subscribe to the principles of one or the other, there are some things you simply cannot deny”, he adds.
His previous release is a poetry-themed look at love through the lenses of family, friends, loved ones past and present, community, self-reflection, and more. Both books are available on Amazon and multiple bookstores in Metro-Atlanta (Nubian Bookstore in Morrow, GA; Medu Bookstore at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta, GA; Book Nook in Decatur, GA; Black Dot Cultural Arts Center in Lithonia, GA), Charlotte (Park Road Books), and Roanoke, VA (Book Addictions) are currently carrying his book, and more stores are to be announced in the upcoming weeks (and both are available for on-line purchase via Amazon).
Previous signings and events in support of the book have taken place in Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Chicago, Jackson, Lilburn, Memphis, Nashville, Peachtree Corners, Raleigh, and Winston-Salem (among other cities). To learn more about the author, including previous and future book signings, readings, bookstore placement, and other special events, readers are encouraged to add his Facebook page (Author Andrew Snorton), as well as add his social media on Twitter and Instagram (@authorasnorton).
