No Tools Loaned and Hog Operation August 25
Since its inception in 2003, Bluegrass on the Square has featured some of the most well-known Bluegrass musicians in the region. Now in its 15th year, the tradition continues with performers Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass, Hog Operation, Ida Clare, New Balance, No Tools Loaned, and The Wooks. All concerts are free and open to the public.

No Tools Loaned hails Frankfurt, Kentucky. Their unique mix of original songs, new bluegrass tunes, classic rock and folk ballads and western swing numbers puts a fresh face on the traditional bluegrass sound—they consider themselves “third generation” bluegrass. Instruments played by the band include banjo, mandolin, guitar, dobro and bass fiddle; vocal harmony includes lead, baritone, tenor and bass vocal.
The members of Hog Operation have been part of the Louisville Bluegrass scene for the past 30 years. Current members are Steve Cooley (banjo), Larry Raley (bass and vocals), Mike Schroeder (mandolin and violin) and John Hawkins (guitar). Steve, Larry and Mike previously performed as part of New Horizon and The Galoots. Steve was also a member of The Dillards and was a Vanguard Recording Artist, and Mike is the founder of the Louisville Mandolin Orchestra.
