Bernheim Big Tree Hug Challenge
June 4 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Become a part of history! Join us for the Bernheim Big Tree Hug Challenge, where we will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for people hugging trees at the same time at the same location. The attempt will require at least 1,201 tree huggers to break the record, but Bernheim wants to attract upwards of 3,000 people to not only break the record, but to hold that title for years to come.South Korea holds the current record.
The tree hug will be a celebration of the role trees play in our lives and will include a full afternoon of fun tree-themed activities from noon – 4 p.m. along with music and food vendors.
The actual tree hug takes place at 2:30 p.m. Huggers are asked to arrive no later than 1:30 to be assigned their tree and get in place for the official count.
Feel free to connect with us via social media using the hashtag #bernheimtreehug and follow a newly established twitter handle @treesthattweet.
The Bernheim Big Tree Hug Challenge is hosted in conjunction with the traveling exhibit Vanishing Acts: Trees Under Threat on display at Bernheim through July 5.
