Executive Chef Annie Pettry will turn the after-hours bar into her culinary playground as she serves up street foods from around the world, paired with the music of the Wu-Tang Clan spun by DJ Ryan Rugger.
This is the first of the series and features food from the “Far East,” like Ramen and Okonomiyaki (a Japanese pancake). All the small bites will be priced under $8, and there’ll be $5 and under drink specials at the bar, including the very cheap shot of bourbon and a beer for $5.
“The idea for Beats & Eats began last year when we did the ‘Hip Hop Taco Shop,’” says Pettry. “We love to make tacos, and my chef-de-cuisine at Decca makes this killer hot sauce, but they aren’t something we’d put on the restaurant menu. So we decided to do a late-night pop-up in the Cellar Lounge where we could serve them and just have some fun.”
