The Carnegie Center for Art and History is deaccessioning some of its collection of artworks to help raise funds for the preservation and continuing care of its collection of George W. Morrison paintings as well as other historically important Southern Indiana artists from the turn of the last century.
Artworks by many well known local artists will be auctioned off including pieces by Jonas Howard, Orville Carroll, George Engle, Ann Tate, Beatrice Candiotti, Rudy Pozzatti, Rita Ford Jones, Henry Chodkowski and many more.
This will be a two part auction beginning with a Silent Auction which begins at Noon and continues until 7:00 PM. This will be followed by a live auction that will start at 7:00 PM. To set up for the live auction, the center will close briefly between 5:30 - 6:00 PM.
