Varanese Restaurant, located at 2106 Frankfort Avenue, will host the “Apocalypse Brew Works Beer Dinner” on Thursday, August 11, with a reception at 6:30pm and dinner at 7:00pm.
The special guest will be Leah Dienes, Brew Master for Apocalypse Brew Works, who will be on hand to discuss the nuances of each beer and how they complement the ingredients in each course. Apocalypse Brew Works, which opened on Mellwood Avenue in 2012, creates small-batch, fresh craft beer, and supports sustainability with their solar-heated water, grain reuse, material recycling and the re-use of found objects and equipment used to build their brewery.
