The American Distilling Institute (ADI) will hold their 12th annual spirits conference and vendor expo at the Kentucky International Convention Center March 30 to April 2. Craft distillers from around the U.S. will travel to Bourbon Country for hands-on workshops, expert lectures, distillery tours and tasting events during the four-day event. ADI, a professional organization that promotes the growth of the craft distilling industry, worked with Louisville’s Distilled Spirits Epicenter to bring the yearly event back to Kentucky.
“Kentucky continues to grow as an epicenter for not just bourbon but the entire field of craft spirits distilling in America,” said Distilled Spirits Epicenter owner David Dafoe. “By working with ADI to bring the conference to Louisville, we will continue that growth by showing spirits professionals from around the country the benefits of our city.”
Organizers expect more than 1000 attendees and 120 exhibitors for the 2015 event which will feature dozens of off-site workshops at regional distilleries including gin distillation at MoonshineUniversity, absinthe making at Copper & Kings American Brandy Co., rye whiskey training at Willett Distilling Co. and vodka production at Wilderness Trail Distillery. Innovative and engaging breakout sessions, expert panel sessions and networking events will touch on all facets of the distilling industry from grain to bottle and beyond. Members will attend a gala on Tuesday, March 31 where winners of Craft American Spirits Awards will be announced.
