Feel the excitement of the American Revolution during 18th Century Thunder at Locust Grove! Step into the year 1778 with this Revolutionary War Encampment as George Rogers Clark and his Illinois Regiment of Virginia begin their western campaign. Visit with soldiers and camp followers, learn 18th-century recipes in the hearth kitchen, and participate in recruitment for new, pint-sized troops. Be sure to visit the bookbinder, wig maker, leatherworker, and woodworker to discover more about daily life during the Revolution!
