Please join YPAL and the Public Issues committee on November 5, 2008, at the Muhammad Ali Center from 6 - 8p.m. for a panel discussion focused on transportation that will feature Barry Barker from the Transit Authority River City (TARC), Harold Tull from Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency (KIPDA), Tyler Allen from 8664, Matt Bullock from the Kentucky Department of Transportation and Dirk Gowin from Metro Government. The discussion will last roughly 90 minutes with a majority of the time being allocated to question and answers directed to and from the panel. The intent of the discussion is to review all of the various issues affecting Louisville’s transportation present and future needs. And, it is our hope that we will cover all of the following: (1) light rail; (2) trolley systems; (3) bus lanes; (4) carpool lanes; (5) pedestrian/biker friendly roads both downtown and in the surrounding suburbs; and (6) the Bridges Project.
