The Dare to Care Food Bank and Sullivan University are partnering to combat hunger in our local community during a community Yard Sale, Saturday, September 5 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the in the university’s west campus lot.

Open to the public, the event is a way to raise awareness and funds for those individuals who are at risk of hunger in our community.

Donation boxes will be set up to accept donations and everyone who brings a canned good or a $1 donation to Dare to Care can enter a drawing to win a number of prizes including T-shirts, gas cards, Back to School Packs, a $100 gift certificate to Winston’s restaurant or a free class (excluding books and fees).

In addition to yard sale items and prize drawings, there will also be freshly prepared food available from student clubs and organizations.

Booth rentals for the Yard Sale are available for only $10. The fee includes the use of one table (you may bring more if you like). The Yard Sale will be held on the university’s West Campus lot located just north of the Watterson Expressway at the corner of Bardstown Road and Gardiner Lane, behind The Bakery.
