Young people ages 9-14 are invited to write, illustrate, and publish their own tactile book. They’ll follow every step in the publication process from writing and editing, to printing and binding. They’ll learn how the invention of the printing press changed the world and explore how blind and visually impaired people read and write using the sense of touch. On the last day of the camp, the museum will host a reception and reading for the young authors and their guests. The fee for the camp is $125.00. Contact Katie Carpenter at ( 502) 899-2213 or kcarpenter@aph.org by July 1 to register. You may also register on-line at
