Writing Workshop to be held at the Kentucky Derby Museum
(LOUISVILLE, KY) Writing life stories? Get tips from the professionals at “Dream Chasers: A Writer’s Workshop” hosted by the Kentucky Derby Museum and Women Who Write Saturday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the museum.
Drawn from the museum’s current exhibit “Dream Chasers: The Art of Living on the Backside,” the event will cover the art of interview and how to draft, edit and present in a concise format. The workshop is suitable for writers of all genres, but will be especially helpful for persons interested in collecting life stories, preserving oral history or presenting their own family stories. The goal is to make a seemingly overwhelming project, both achievable and enjoyable for everyone.
Cost for the workshop is $10 per person. The fee includes admission to the museum and participants will be encouraged to view the “Dream Chaser’s” exhibit as well as tour the facilities. Reservations are encouraged, as seating is limited. For reservations contact Carla Grego, 502-992-5905, or email cgrego@derbymuseum.org. Additional information is online: www.womenwhowrite.com
