A little online research tells me Waterfront Park's second phase, finished in 2004, cost $15 million and includes the Brown-Forman Amphitheater. It's right by Tumbleweed (2301 River Road) on the river. Phase two also features something called "The Adventure Playground," which is the most disgusting park our city has to offer.

I was just there a week or so ago. It's one of the city parks that has a sprayground, one of those playground/car washes built for kids that seem to be replacing public swimming pools. Apparently this one makes children really excited because the parking lot was filled with soiled diapers, despite the fact that trash cans are available. When I went into the bathroom — I know, I should have known better — there were two more diapers. Also, on the sink, was a toothpaste tube and a razor. Which led me to the only logical conclusion: A baby with good oral hygiene and a clean shave must be living in there.
