From 9 am to 5 pm, everyone is invited to make their own buttons, sashes and more in support of Women’s Equality; enjoy a short film chronicling the history of the 19th Amendment and the fight by women to gain the right to vote in Votes For Women; see live historic interpretations throughout the day depicting significant contributions by women throughout history such as Annie Oakley, Joan of Arc, Juliette Gordon Low and many more!
Join us during the evening for a satirical performance of Someone Must Wash the Dishes: An Anti-Suffrage Monologue written by Marie Jenney Howe and performed by Michele LaRue. A reception following the performance includes informational booths hosted by some of the area’s leading women’s organizations. (7pm; $8 in advance, $10 at the door)
