Artist Statement: Bottles, stones, dandelions, and bubbles are the subjects of my work. Using reflective surfaces and solid clear glass in multiples, I am interested in the capture of light and arresting viewer. – Casey Hyland
About the Artist: Since graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in architecture, Casey has traveled through Seattle, Tennessee, North Carolina, and New York studying and working at craft schools. These schools have included Pilchuck, Appalachian Center for Crafts, Penland, UrbanGlass and the Studio at Corning.
In the Fall of 2002, Hyland Glass, LLC was established. Currently, Hyland Glass maintains its stu-dio and equipment at Glassworks in Louisville, KY. Here, Casey creates contemporary hand-blown glass objects for the everyday and the days in between.

For the 1st Friday Trolley Hop, Casey Hyland will provide a demonstration in the Hot Shop from 6-7pm, a gallery talk and reception will follow immediately.
“Behind-the-Scene” Artist Tour
Saturdays, June 20th & July 18th at 11am
Behind-the-Scene tours are designed to provide a in-depth & close up look at the artists intent, process, and final product. The “Behind-the-Scene” Artist Tour includes a guided tour of Glassworks, a special video about the artist (Casey Hyland), an artist demonstration by Casey Hyland, and concludes with a gallery talk with artist himself.
