Beginning Saturday, September 1st at 4pm, WFPL will broadcast NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me.  Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me is a weekly hour-long quiz program. Each week you can test your knowledge against some of the best and brightest in the news and entertainment world while figuring out what's real news and what's made up.  The show is hosted by Peter Sagal with official judge and scorekeeper Carl Kasell.  Regular panelists include authors P.J. O’Rourke, Roy Blount Jr. and Tom Bodett along with writer Roxanne Roberts and comedian Mo Rocca.

Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me is more fun than a barrel of Senators”- says deputy director Jon Hoban, “I listen to see how well I have kept up with the week’s news.  It’s fun to hear the panelists try to stump the guests with their “creative” interpretation of the headlines.  It should be a great addition to Saturday afternoon.”

With the addition of Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me, WFPL’s Sunday program schedule will also benefit from a number of exciting changes.  WFPL’s gardening show, Homegrown, moves to 12pm every Sunday.  The program, hosted by Bob Hill and Jeneen Wiche, now follows The Splendid Table with Lynn Rosetto Kasper.  The Splendid Table is a culinary, culture, and lifestyle program that celebrates food and its ability to touch the lives and feed the souls of everyone.  The Splendid Table moves to Sunday at 11am.

Listeners will also enjoy a new Sunday evening schedule.  Car Talk begins at 6pm, followed by the critically acclaimed media program, On The Media, at 7pm.  The radio guide to culture, Studio 360, moves to 8pm followed by Living on Earth at 9pm.  We are also adding The Changing World to our Sunday night schedule. The Changing World airs Sunday nights at 10pm beginning Sept 2nd. The Changing World is a weekly series of documentaries that takes the time to explore multiple aspects of a single global issue.  The series draws on the unique talents of the BBC's extensive network of seasoned and journalists.
