This course deals primarily with small-scale (cold) composting for the homeowner, but touches on larger volume (hot) composting. You'll learn how to set up a home composting operation, which materials to use, which materials to avoid, the biology behind the process, and how to troubleshoot. The class also explores how composting is related to global climate change, topsoil loss, fossil fuel depletion and food security.
