Does anything say “summer’s bounty” like an abundance of tomatoes? Maybe sweet corn but I think probably not. Summer produce is really all about tomatoes and Chef John Castro at Winston’s is taking full advantage of that fact. Instead of being overrun with tomatoes and saying "let's make tomato sauce"
Chef Castro has instead said "let's come up with a super interesting tomato based menu." Good choice chef.
On Friday August 1, Saturday August 2, Friday August 8, and Saturday August 9 Winston’s is presenting an Heirloom Tomato Dinner with fresh tomatoes from local producers, including some varietals that were produced specifically for Winston’s.
