THE TOASTERS RETURN TO LOUISVILLE!
Longest running U.S. ska band continues their 2009 touring schedule which includes a confirmed Louisville area performance at Skull Alley! All Ages Welcome.
A BIT ABOUT THE BAND:
The Toasters are America’s longest running ska band. Formed in 1981 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan NYC, they have carved out their own niche in history, amassing along the way an enormous catalogue of music including twelve albums, a score of singles and EP’s, and innumerable compilation of appearances. One of the most renowned New York ska bands of the 1980’s and 1990’s with hits such as “Thrill Me Up” and “2-Tone Army,” The Toasters have been called The Ramones of ska music and The Miles Davis of ska alike. Touring constantly with over 4,500 performances under their belt around the world, they do not forget the storied past they bring to each show. The band has graced the pages of Billboard and worked with giant corporations like Coca-Cola, America Online, and Nickelodeon while introducing the mainstream media to the world of ska music. Now, twenty-eight years later, The Toasters are still traveling the world sharing their music.
