Beginning the week of Jan. 18, the Baptist Hospital East Cancer Care Center will offer a Cancer and Restorative Exercise (CARE) group session for those diagnosed with cancer in 2009. In the program, personal trainers specially instructed in working with cancer patients will design a workout for each participant. The groups will workout at the Baptist East/Milestone Wellness Center, 750 Cypress Station Drive. The cost is $200 which includes 20 visits and a three-month Wellness Center membership. A readiness screening by a physical therapist must be performed no later than three weeks before the first visit.
