Does your child like to cook? Do you want to learn how to cook traditional Hanukkah delicacies? Join mom and baker Najla Aswad for a family cooking Hanukkah event! Cook and learn with your child(ren)! We will make Hanukkah donuts, latkes and apple sauce. Open to children in grades K-5 and their parents.
Najla R. Aswad is owner of Najla’s Inc., an award-winning specialty food company in Louisville, Kentucky. Najla’s is certified kosher by the Orthodox Union and hand-crafts everything with all-natural premium ingredients. Najla started baking with her mom as a child, but professionally started baking in 1987. Najla loves teaching classes and empowering children to learn the basics of cooking to establish good eating habits early. Najla’s yummy products can be found in local specialty markets, coffeebars and restaurants.
