On Saturday, Oct. 23 and Sunday, Oct. 24, culinary students and chef instructors from Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies (NCHS) Lexington campus will put their cooking skills on display at the Kentucky Proud Incredible Food Show at the Lexington Convention Center and Rupp Arena. Featuring celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, the Incredible Food Show is a two-day show that offers innovative cooking demonstrations, culinary seminars and The Marketplace with over 100 exhibitors sampling and selling their products. The Sullivan University Cooking Stage is an integral part of the event, and programming will include a choreographed stir-fry set to music, a demonstration of knife skills and baking demonstrations. Saturday afternoon will conclude with the Pandemonium Pro-Am, when culinary pros will team up with three lucky food show participants selected from a drawing to participate in a cooking competition on stage for bragging rights. Sunday’s schedule will also include top chefs from the Bluegrass Region incorporating locally grown, seasonal ingredients in a progressive and inspiring “Sunday Supper” segment.
