Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, better known as Sugarland, will perform on opening night of the Kentucky State Fair, Thursday, Aug. 19. After breaking onto the national music scene five years ago, the multiple award-winning duo has recorded hits like “Baby Girl, “All I Wanna Do” and “Stay.” The latter song propelled Sugarland to multiple Grammy Awards in 2009 for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Country Song.
Little Big Town found a home on the Billboard charts with unique and powerful songs like “Boondocks,” “Good as Gone,” “Bring It On Home” and “A Little More You.” The vocal arrangement of Jimi Westbrook, Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet has produced four studio albums, with the latter set for release later in 2010. At the 2009 County Music Association Awards, Little Big Town was also nominated for Vocal Group of the Year for the fourth consecutive year.
