    Thornton’s returns with its Bet or No Bet sweepstakes in which several lucky fans will be chosen to make a $1,000 win wager on one of the night’s races or take the sure bet—a $100 Thornton’s gas card.

    THE TROPHY

    The winning owners and breeders of Kentucky Derby winner California Chrome, Steve Coburn and Perry Martin, will be presented with their engraved Kentucky Derby trophy just after the fourth race. Jose Espinoza, brother of Kentucky Derby winning jockey Victor Espinoza, will be on hand to accept the jockey trophy for his brother. Winning trainer Art Sherman is unable to attend.

    THE DETAILS

    Saturday’s “White Party” kicks off the first of three Downs After Dark programs to be held during Churchill Downs’ spring meeting. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress in all white. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the first post is 6 p.m. General admission is $10 at the gate, and reserved seats in the new Terrace Lounge are $25; VIP is $99. For additional ticketing information click here. Once the on-track parking lots are filled, enjoy free parking and shuttle service available at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
