The Education Department at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will host several drop-in workshops during Spring Break week where parents will have the opportunity to create artwork with their children. Parents and kids ages 4 and up are invited to stop by anytime between 1:00pm and 4:00pm, April 4th to 8th, to spend 20-30 minutes on a hands-on art project, then tour the Museum’s three floors of exhibition galleries. The cost is $6 per child. No reservations necessary.
The projects offered this year are:
Monday, April 4th - Weaving
Participants will learn the basics and leave with a small woven piece.
Tuesday, April 5th - Polymer clay
Participants will learn how to create beads and other fun pieces with polymer clay.
Wednesday, April 6th - Painting
Participants will paint a fun scene or portrait.
Thursday, April 7th - Puppets
Participants will create a puppet out of fabric, yarn, and other materials
Friday, April 8th - Collagraph
Participants will learn how to make a print using this fun printmaking technique
